Once a client agrees to the estimate for a private wedding fireworks display in South Carolina, we begin the permitting and coordination process required to legally and safely conduct the show. The full process typically takes two to four weeks, depending on the location and the responsiveness of the local authorities and venue.
The first step is gathering all of the necessary event information. This includes the exact show location, the date and time of the display, the size of the fireworks show, and confirmation from the venue that fireworks are permitted on the property. We also review the site to ensure that proper safety distances can be maintained.
Next, we prepare and submit the permit application to the local fire marshal or authority having jurisdiction. In most areas of South Carolina, fireworks displays require approval from the local fire department or fire marshal’s office. The permit application usually includes a detailed site diagram, the fireworks product list, safety distances, operator licensing, and proof of insurance.
